Pea is turning two in a couple of weeks. My husband designed her invitations himself, around my current favorite photo of her, looking at the world through a screened window. Something about it just screams “Americana” to me – apple pie, baseball, midwestern farmhouses… so the theme morphed into an indoor picnic.

Unfortunately, no one may ever see this invitation. The printers sent it to us via DHL, a delivery company that we have never had luck with. They’ve delivered our packages to towns we don’t live in, delivered our packages to neighbors who do not even live on our street, and they’ve just not delivered. Period. Like with my daughter’s party invites.

Moral of the story: do not conduct business with anyone who ships via DHL. Ironically enough, they do not deliver.
