Ugh. My gung-ho approach to potty training this past weekend did not go as planned. I do not have a daughter who is apparently willing to actually pee in a potty. She will sit on it for hours and read books, will eat a snack on it and will wear it on her head, but actually relieve herself in it? Nope. Not gonna’ happen.
I must’ve asked her a million times if she had to use the potty. She’d say yes, read that darned Elmo potty book and then get up. Nothing.
Two minutes later, I swear to it, she’d be standing in a puddle of pee.
Aargh!
So, this time around we are trying out those training diapers. According to the package, they are supposed to become quite uncomfortable when wet, I’m assuming because they aren’t lined as well as the “real” diapers. Again, not going to faze my little Pea. She can withstand a saggy & soggy diaper like I’ve never seen another child do.
Potty training is now officially off of my list of things to do with her. For now. But stay tuned. This could all change at a moment’s notice.

I realized this was posted last summer but I am really desparate for advice. My daughter is 2 1/2 and currently potty training. The training is going well but what’s going on with the rash on her bottom??? Did your daughter expereince the same thing while wearing the cotton training pants? Help.
