Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. A day I look forward to all year long. It’s my absolute favorite holiday and always has been. I suppose it has to do with the food. I love food.
These are the things I’m giving thanks for right now:
My family, of course. An obvious choice, right? My husband and I are still, after almost a decade together, madly in love with one another; my girls are growing up healthy, happy and just all-around incredibly well; my mother has found a wonderful man to share her life with, thus ending her decades-long fear of commitment;
Pea is actually sleeping through the night in her big girl bed – finally. 7 to 7. No wake-ups in between. Yay!
My health. Losing that baby weight has been a bit of work, and I’m so close to my goal weight, which will actually exceed my pre-baby weight;
The weather here in Texas has finally cooled off! Tonight, we actually have the heat on;
The *Spanx that I will no doubt be wearing the day after tomorrow…
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your loved ones!
*The woman who created Spanx has knocked herself off with a lower-priced line of her miracle undergarments that she sells at Target. I’ve bought two pairs thus far and I can honestly tell you that at two-thirds less than the price of the original, the Target knock-offs are equally impressive in their ability to comfortably shrink you a couple of pants sizes. I highly recommend them as a less expensive alternative.
