pay it forward, per favore

My friend Nona, the Everyday Yogini, randomly chose me to be one of the beneficiaries of the “pay it forward” that’s been floating around. It’s like a chain letter when you were a kid, wondering when it’s going to get to your home (or in this case in-box). She’s sending me, and two other lucky gals a cool something from Roma which I am very excited about. It’s a bottle stopper. You can see it here. It’s made of Venetian glass and it’s gorgeous and I intend to use it to cork up my bottle of red wine at night.

Anyway, now it’s my chance to pay it forward. It’s easy. If you are interested in receiving a little something from me, just leave a comment on this post and on Tuesday evening, I will randomly pick three names myself to whom I will pass along a little good fortune. And much like my friend Nona, a caveat: I will not be making anything. I am not a crafter. I will be buying something. Chances are, it’s going to be a beauty product, because you know I am addicted. A beauty product junk-head, if you will. I promise it will be neutral so you don’t have to worry about some tacky bright blue eyeshadow or anything like that. I have good taste… Wait, is that a hint?

And all you have to do in return is post a pay it forward on your own blog and then choose another three people from your comments to pass along a little good fortune to. Remember, it can be anything… handmade, thoughtful, store bought. Whatever moves you.

And then? Go rent the movie. It was a three-hankie weeper.

oooh, pick me, pick me! You should pick me because I just had a baby 9 days ago(brownie points for still finding time to read your blog) and I am also the mother of another rambunctious yet adorable two year old boy. Who deserves a little gift more than me? NOONE.

Oh, pick me! I love to pay it forward and it’s something that isn’t done these days. What a nice sentiment. I know some people that need some paying it forward these days, one person in particular who needs a little love for no reason at all. As I am writting this I am realizing I need to do this anyway. Anyhoo, sorry I got a little off topic. I would love to experience your expertise in the beauty department because as you know I know pretty much nothing about beauty products.

How fun!! What a great idea. I love all your advice on beauty products now if I would just get to the store and buy some of it. Thanks for the great blog- keep it up!

I’d love to participate. I thought that was a great movie as well. More people should pay it forward.
I am fairly new to your blog but have been enjoying it the last few weeks. I want to invite you and your mommy readers to join me for live friendship and conversation at MamasTimeOut. I host a live support call in show for moms of All ages and All stages. I’d love to have you as a special guest as well or just a participant! Let me know if interested!

That sounds really fun! I’ll play too!

And in response to your comment, we live in Las Vegas, Nevada. For the snow we go to Mt. Charleston. It’s an easy 30 minute drive from where we live and it snows all winter. It doesn’t really snow too much in Vegas and for that I’m am grateful! But it is nice to play in every once in awhile.

I’ll play! I always enjoyed doing these type of things when I was younger. This sounds more like a fun grown up version! Thanks for all the posts with parenting trials and tips. My daughter is 18 months & I take in all your advice for upcoming months. Someday I will start my own blog. About as much posting as I do right now is on facebook. Keeping blogging!

    Lurker here
I enjoy your blog very much! I, myself, do not have the time or effort to blog. This is a great idea though. I craft a bit myself and I pay if forward by making microwaveable neck warmers (filled with rice and lavender buds). I drop them off to friends or neighbors going thru stressful times.
Thanks for the entertainment look forward to more!
