I am officially not going to complain any longer about what the lack of sleep is doing to my eyes. As of today. Why today? Because this morning is the first day that I used my new under-eye concealer by Amazing Cosmetics. This stuff is, dare I say it… amazing. Seriously, if you have tired-looking eyes, the ones with the little half-moons of darkness underneath them, get this stuff. Right away. You must have this product in your make-up drawer.

My mother told me about it years ago, when I was a newlywed. I had no need for it. I was working part-time in an antiques shop in Bedford, New York, and could sleep for days and days at a time, if I wanted to. There was not much stress in my life. Occasionally, I would go into work, read a novel while there, and then drive home and go out to dinner with my husband. No exhaustion.

Then, came the kiddies. Different life, absolutely. I adore it. I thrive on it. I have learned to accept the lack of sleep. I know it’s “temporary.” But this product, which my mother insisted I buy yesterday? It has changed everything. Crazy talk, right? Not at all. I put it on this morning, three tiny little dots in the inner corners of my eyes, blended well, stepped back and… picked my jaw up off of the bathroom floor. I look like I did five years ago, on my wedding day. Well-rested. Amazing, for sure.

So one of my many idiosyncracies is that I CANNOT stand the odor or the taste of cucumber. This product has cucumber in it. Can you smell it?

I feel like the sleeplessness bug must be going around. I’ve been going to bed with the kids, leaving laundry unfolded and the toy room a mess. THATs how sleep-deprived I am…if only there was an elixir of energy I could drink. : )

First a facial and now I’m changing my ever loving eye concealer. You are changing my life Melissa. I’ll give this one a try. Desperately hoping for the jaw dropping effect. Looking five years younger would be (sigh) miraculous. Lately I feel as old as Methusaleh.

Hmm… not so good for puffy eyes. You need sleep! And perhaps some ice cold cucumber slices would help, too.

What about puffy eyes? My demon is puffiness. If it works on puffies, I’m in.
