I am always in a rush. Always. And impatient like no other. Horrible traits to have. Just plain horrible. It is intense, trying to get out the door with these girls. I get… for lack of a better word… crazed. There is no time for slow-pokes. Nope. Gotta’ go. And I hate this about myself. I really do. And I’m trying so hard to fix it, but it’s something I’ve been dealing with since I can remember.
Today, it was no different. We went over to Whole Foods, and since Pea had not been well yesterday (a return of that stinking Noro virus), I didn’t want to be out too long, but there were things we needed, and I thought some fresh air would do us all some good. So, we ventured out. Or rushed out, that’s more like it. And when we get into the store, she asks if she can have these
Whoa. How do you say no to that?
I absolutely love fresh flowers, daisies are among my favorites, and so of course, I had to say yes. But the real gift in all of this was, for me, the reminder to chill the heck out and stop and smell those flowers.

From the mouth of babes… WOW – did I need that reminder myself given the hectic pace I have worked on the last few weeks – not even a blog or comment from me in that time, much less stopping to smell the flowers. Though I did get out with my horses yesterday – much needed!
A very nice reminder. Thank you!
Yesterday I was in a similar rush. My almost-three-year-old gave me a stern look and said, “Calm down Mommy!”. Amazing how they can snap you out of it as quickly as they can get you into it.
What a sweet reminder, I’m glad you got her the flowers, they look so cheery and sunshiny, just the right thing to help her get better.
Don’t you wish sometimes that you had a watch or some sort of gadget to stop time and allow just to sit and unwind for a bit, catch your breath?
My favorite flower – good choice, Pea! I’m the impatient sort as well
but my boys have a way of setting me straight at times!
A girl after my own heart- I love Gerbera Daisies!!
