I hate socks, especially in the summer. Even in the winter though the first I do when I get home is kick off the shoes and get the socks off. Exception being when I am riding horses and/or working on the farm and hence wearing the boots, then I will tolerate socks as required. Unfortunately, I have to agree with you though - shoes are in general not designed to be worn with socks and tend to get rather icky rather quickly if you do wear them as such - especially sneakers. And let me just ad, that I am just amazed at how cute your kids are. Despite being the confirmed old bachelor there is some part of me that just wants to have a kid or two and seeing yours and hearing of all their adventures just emphasizes that in super size. THANKS! However I purchased mine for a trip to Jamaica for hiking through the Dunn's River waterfalls. I have to say... I am a sock-lover. If I could wear them with my Anne Klein heels, I would! But my Teva's are indeed ridiculously comfortable. I was actually doing a search to see if there are any water hikes I could take in the states just for an excuse to wear my Teva's again, but now that I know people are wearing them just out and about in public, perhaps I might try it too! :) I actually have a pair of Teva’s too.
