Pea doesn’t nap anymore, and Coco just worked her way down to one nap a day, from 1 until about 3. But yes, at one point, they were napping at the same time, Pea’s nap was from 1 to 3, and that was the exact time of Coco’s 2nd nap.

I wish my baby boy had the easy-to-sleep gene! Hey, do you put your girls to nap at the same time? I seem to have a bit of a challenge to get both my kids down at the same time each day.

Bed time is kind of a magical time in our house, too. They are just cuddlier at the end of the day, after their baths!

That sounds like a lovely, peaceful bedtime routine. I like the idea of baby massage, I’ll have to keep that in mind for the future. I completely love the consistent routine you have going. That’s definitely important for kids, and I’m sure it makes your life a million times easier. They know what will happen, they’ve done it their wholes lives. It’s comfortable and familiar. And with that, I think I’m off for my own slightly sporadic bedtime routine.

Thank you for this post, Melissa! We have a very similar, precious, treasured routine with Xander: bath, massage, pj's, story with milk, teeth brushing, climb into bed, turn on the turtle night light and the nature sounds (from the now closed Sharper Image store, God help us if it ever breaks!), tuck his quilt around him, kiss him good night and he's off to sleep fairly soon after that. Right now, he's pretty into being our baby, but I'm taking steps to make him a "helper", which will hopefully smooth the transition for him. Thanks for giving me some hope that we'll be able to keep some bedtime consistency (at least, eventually!) when our daughter arrives.
