Years ago, before Pea was even born, my mother-in-law gave me a box of “Animal Parade Alphabet Cards” which are made by a company called eeBoo. I never paid much attention to them, at first glance they looked like your typical child’s cutesy themed cards. But I recently started to notice a growing trend in Pea’s “Learning is Fun” cabinet… the eeBoo products? They are quickly multiplying. Like little gremlins…
Somehow, we’ve ended up with a “Classic Matching Game.” And then my husband recently returned from a trip with “Animal Bingo.” And I recently picked up “Life on Earth Dominos.” And after looking around some more, I noticed colored pencil sets and sketch books. We’ve been using those forever. And the stocking stuffers I’ve been collecting for the girls? #2 pencils? Classic children’s card games? Flash cards? eeBoo, eeBoo and eeBoo.
I love them all. The illustrations are charming, frame-worthy, really. The colors are soft and muted. And the educational value? It’s making learning fun. I was actually able to sit down with Pea recently and play dominos – the matching version, not the ‘tip the first one in line and watch them all fall version.
Oh, and the alphabet cards? From my mother-in-law? I opened them up. So sweet. Perfect for a nursery, really. Frame the letters of your child’s name in individual and simple white frames and hang them. Or punch a hole in the top of those letters and run a ribbon through the holes, and hang them that way. So adorable…

I’ve never even heard of that company, but it sounds really great.
Great idea about framing the letter cards – maybe just initials if your child has a particularly long name (which my next one just might).
