I am a complete sucker for anything “inspirational” for kids. I’m also a sucker for folk music. Put the two together, and you have Bob Dylan’s book “Forever Young.”
It’s based on one of Bob Dylan’s most popular and beloved songs. And it translates surprisingly well into a children’s book. The words are timeless. The illustrations are charming in a retro and 60s kind of way. Pea, Coco and I read it several times a week, and it chokes me up each time. It’s a strong reminder of what I want for my girls.

Hey Melissa…missing your blogs
This is totally unrelated, but I’ve been reading a book about the inequity in pay, position and status of women and it’s really interesting. It speaks a lot about how we are raising little girls to be less independent, less confident and have lower expectations. I see so much of my own childhood in it, it’s interesting to have so much connected and explained so straight forwardly. Thought you might be interested.

Definitely need to check that one out.
I love the variety of books you share with your children.
I have it and love it!
