laugh*make*nurture*organise*play

I was disappointed when I heard that Domino magazine was shutting down. Disappointed. But not surprised. It seems like all of the good reads are disappearing these days. It’s just a shame.

But in the footsteps of Small magazine – an online-only read that I enjoy from time to time – walks another parenting ‘mag’ – online only, of course – that I am enjoying. LMNOP.

You have to register to download any issues, but it amounts to little more than inputting your name and email. LMNOP is on it’s 6th ‘issue,’ so if you’ve been looking for something to read, you can park yourself at your laptop tonight, when the kids are (finally!) in bed and check it out. Or better yet, you can print out an issue or two on paper and take it with you into the bathtub.

Ugh! You are right…I just looked into it. March’s issue is the last, so yes, definitely buy one. I do think you would enjoy it. Plus the cover feels cool (I have this “thing” with book covers…weird, I know). Well they say they are rolling Wondertime in to Family Fun magazine. I guess I will check that out next month and see what it is about. Bummer!

I like what I’ve seen of Wondertime – the few times that I’ve read it. But I read in the last couple of days that it’s being closed down, too. And here I was, considering getting a subscription to it! Thanks for the head’s up. I’ll have to pick up a copy of the current issue – especially since it may just be the last!

Melissa, I just came across a magazine today while in line at Whole Foods that caught my attention (and I ended up buying). It’s called Wonder Time. I think this one may be up your alley too. I though the price was also reasonable at $4.95 (considering it was among the likes of Fine Cooking, etc). I don’t know if this month’s issue is indicative of most of them, but it nicely covered just about all of the topics you usually do (food, fashion, lots of books…etc). Check it out if you think of it.
