So, twice a month, I’m going to be posting on The Bump. The Bump is a very cool website all about – you guessed it – mommy and child. You can find information on everything from conceiving to pregnancy to community message boards; it’s a very cool and comprehensive website about all things related to mommyhood. One of my favorite topics. As you can imagine, I’m very excited about this opportunity and hope that you’ll hop on over there and check out what they’re all about.
Oh, and The Bump? Brought to you by the geniuses behind The Knot. If you’ve recently gotten married (like in the last six or so years, which is about when I discovered their site), are planning a wedding, or are familiar with the magazine aisle at your grocery (there’s a magazine!), then you’ll know who I’m talking about.
And so, with no further ado, my first post for The Bump…

Congratulations! Enjoyed the post! I thought the idea of the message boards was great, and went on them a few weeks ago, and realized how mean a lot of the mommies were to each other… People were going on asking questions because they were confused or scared, just asking for advice, and they were being attacked. I thought it was sad that such a great resource for parents was being used like that, I would never feel safe enough to ask for help. The type of posts you do are the antithesis of that, they strengthen the parenting experience by acknowledging the imperfections (and that they are normal) and embracing the wonderful.
Great post! Thanks!
How neat! I’m totally going to check both of those sites out. And of course your post.
Oh Melissa, I loved your post. Yeah!!! You’re on your way girlfriend…
