Check out my most recent post on The Bump. For some of you, you’ve already heard it: it was hard to watch my ‘baby’ turn four years old. Yesterday was the official date. And if you asked Pea yesterday what day it was, she would tell you that “it was the day they took me out of my mommy’s tummy. I didn’t want to come out.” Truer words have never been spoken! Anyway, it’s all official. I am now the proud owner – I mean parent – of a four-year old kid. And it’s awesome. I don’t know, something just happens when they turn four. It’s as if a light-switch was turned on, and Miss Pea realized that she is now a person. A bona fide person. Again, it’s awesome. Anyway, check it all out on The Bump.
And Happy Hump Day…

oh, how exciting! yes, send them over. can’t wait! thanks melissa!!!
Thanks, Janet. And YES. Sewing is easy! It’s the kind of thing that you just have to dive into, headfirst. Each item I make is better than the last. And the good news is, skirts are a PERFECT start for a beginning sewer! I will send you the links to the patterns that I started with via email, and don’t be daunted! It’s not as confusing as it might seem! In fact, it’s my opinion that it’s pure logic! Go for it! There is just nothing as satisfying as sewing clothing for your little girl, in a style that suits her, in a fabric that she loves, that no one else is going to be wearing…
awh, you got me all teary eyed. lovely post. hey, i also love the dress you made pea. wow, you got talent! so, is it an easy task for someone who is just starting out?? i imagine myself making pretty skirts and dresses for Mia but not sure how to start.
