In high school, I bought piles of used Levis 501 jeans at the local army surplus shop. That habit continued well into college. And then I moved on, with my fancy NYC-lifestyle, to the ridiculous world of over-priced denim. Why? Because if they cost $200 and you could only get them at Barneys? Then they must be better, right?
Wrong.
I am happy to say that my decade-and-a-half long love affair with pricy blues is officially over. I am ushering back in a simpler time – when I was young, had no money and prided myself on my collection of vintage 501s. Although now, they are not pre-worn. They are new. And with an awesome selection of cuts, colors and styles.
And on sale! All summer denim! Most of it under $30.
My faves? The Skinny Flood in white. And any of the Mid-Rise Boot 553 jeans.
Go ahead, load up! Lots of white denim for summer…
